FA Kids of Atlanta's school advocacy task force is currently in the local community raising awareness in schools, daycares, camps, school nurse meetings & other groups on the importance of food allergy management.

FAAN's School Food Allergy Program
presented by FA Kids of Atlanta
Food allergy education for daycares, preschool, elementary, middle, and high schools
This is a comprehensive multi-media program that will be used to educate school nurses, school administration and those who care for our children while in school.
FA Kids of Atlanta's resource binder will also be provided.
Presentations are given by a member of the FA Kids of Atlanta's School Task Force team who has been trained and approved through FAAN to present this program.

Childcare & Preschools
Food allergy education for caregivers of children under the age of 5
This comprehensive program is endorsed by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. A demonstration of epi pen procedures, information on how to read a label and a food allergy poster.
This program is designed to educate caregivers of children under the age of 5.
Food allergy education for children ages 2-7
This program includes presenting children with story time or a movie explaining the importance of food allergy management through characters that children will love. Stickers or other fun items will be distributed to each child when available. This program can be presented by volunteers, parents, teachers, nurses, or caregivers.

Grade School Discussion Guide
Food allergy education & discussion for young children
This discussion guide will compliment the viewing of Alexander, the Elephant who couldn't Eat Peanuts video. Great for teaching young groups of children. This discussion can be led by volunteers, parents, teachers, nurses, or caregivers.

Lesson Kit, Grades 4-8
Designed for educators, nurses, & parents to teach students grades 4-8 about food allergies
This program includes suggested activities and assignments for students, short stories by children with food allergies, and discussion points for teachers. It includes a poster to raise awareness and a presentation of the video "Friends Helping Friends, Make it Your Goal".
